Cassidy Petit

We are entirely heartbroken by the sudden loss of Cassidy “CP” Petit and her fiance Lochie Ferrier, who died tragically in a plane crash off of Half Moon Bay on Sunday, January 14th.
CP was a founding member of Hula and a treasured friend whose dynamism profoundly impacted so many during her far too brief life. CP will be remembered most for her generous spirit, her fearlessness, and her commitment to making the world a more just and inclusive one.
CP’s journey to Hula began at age 18 from a part-time gig at WND&WVS during her undergraduate days at UVM. Her get-it-done attitude, self directed work ethic, business savvy, and genuine curiosity made her an obvious choice when it came time to form the founding team at Hula.
In her time at Hula CP touched every aspect of the place from the campus’s design to establishing the community of entrepreneurs at Hula, to setting up Hula’s Venture Capital Fund, and so much more. Her spirit and legacy is prolific and we are grateful to have been a part of her story.
Our deepest condolences are with CP’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
